4th place in EFPT Event Rhodos

With a bit of luck and some good heats, i could make a great 3rd place in the single ellimination. On my way up i first met a greek local, T. Promponas, after that i met one more time my good friend Jakub Kosmowski from Poland. With a bit luck for the wind (I had to use my 5,8 and i am lighter than Jakub), i could beat him and advanced one more round. Now i was up to have another tough heat against the winner of Podersdorf, Nicolas Akgaczyan from France, i had my best heat of the whole competition against him. In the 5 minutes i was just falling once at the end, the rest was very good and contained for example shaka diablo, double flaka and puneta900. This was my fight up into the Finals, where Andre Paskowski was my first opponent in the fight for loosers or winnersfinal. The European Champion 2006 beat me - as Kevin Mevissen beat Andreas Olandersson - and so it was clear the fight was Andre Paskowski and Kevin about place 1 and 2, and me and Andreas for place 3 and 4. That was a very tough heat again, I was on my 5,2 and 94 liter board. In the last seconds i saw Andy going for a ponch, and he missed it, so i tried as well and pulled it, guess that was the move which let me be on the great 3rd place in the single elimination!! Well - as the wind stayed, we just started over with the double elimination (where all the loosers go against each other and everybody has the chance to fight himself up some places) after a 45 minutes break. Obviously there was one of the top guys fighting his way up throughout the whole ladder - Normen Günzlein. He was doing 9 Heats this day, with 7 in a row and fought himself up to the 2nd place. I was one of his opponents and with a double spock in the heat (which not many riders are doing in a heat yet!), he didn't leave me a lot chance...So Normen kicked me down to the 4th place, which is a great result and adds a good amount of points to my overall ranking in the EFPT (www.efpt.net)

 Result EFPT Rhodos:
1. Andre Paskowski - GER
2. Normen Günzlein - GER
3. Kevin Mevissen - NL
